We have some minimum income requirements. These are based on your total income, so in addition to your main earnings, you can include things like benefits / credits and any secondary income sources. The minimum levels are as follows:

  • If you're applying on your own: you’ll need a minimum income of £25,000 (£30,000 if you live in London and the South East) per annum.

  • If you're applying with someone else: if either of you meet the requirements for a sole application, then you have met the requirements.
If neither of you meet the requirement individually, but together you earn at least £50,000, that also meets our requirements.

The requirements for self-employed applicants are slightly different - please see further details here.
