Minimum income requirements are based on your total income, you can include things like benefits and any secondary income sources. The minimum levels are as follows:

  • Single applicants: You need a yearly income of at least £25,000. If you're in London or the South East, it's £30,000.

  • Joint applicants: If one of you meets the single applicant criteria, you're good. If not, together you should earn at least £50,000 a year.

  • Self-employed: We usually check 2 years of your business history. If you've been self-employed for less than 2 years, contact us to see how we can help.

  • Second jobs: 6 months history is required.
